What a Day

Today was definitely one to remember. We let our dog out to play in the snow and what did she find? Well, first the neighbor's dog. Then the neighbor's twin toddlers. Thanks to her, I had the good fortune of photographing their very first time playing in the snow.

As if that wasn't great enough, I also had a photoshoot with my grandpa's friend's toddlers today at a McDonald's playplace. There were a ton of adorable children there just begging (literally) to have their picture taken as I waited for the "clients".

This one actually directed me in taking this photo. Model in the making?

When at last the clients arrived, I got to photograph their GORGEOUS little boys (who, funnily enough, were black and white, much like my color choice today). They were a blast to work with. I definitely needed a nap once I got home! LOL

I couldn't have asked for a better day. Now to go get some sleep!

I am so glad you didn't follow TDS today. sometimes you just have to go with your gut.
Love the first one. The fact that he walking out of the frame interest me. Also the fact that I cannot see his face. Like your are not interupting anything in his world. Photojournalistic style. It works great in black/white.
The second one is perfect! Love that mesh and his expression.
Great framing on the third on, since HE was your client, I was hoping to get a better view of him, but you seem to be developing a "style" already. Your subjects are coy and secretive. Great conversion in all of them. Nicely done, I'm glad you had a great day.
Reading your manual any? Has shooting this often and such a variety of subjects, made you learn your camera more?

@Lisa, Thank you so much for your comment and for following me! :D I really appreciate it.

@Sandra, I'm amazed that you correctly assumed the child in the first photo is a boy. If it were in color, you'd see that he's wearing purple and hot pink. He also has long curls while his twin sister has short hair. LOL. Thank you for appreciating the photo. I couldn't get him to face me at all. He's so shy and always on a mission!

I'm REALLY glad you like the second one. He was very deliberate about the entire thing. I had to take the photo vertically. He had to be making that face. He had to be looking up. I'm telling you, the kid's a model. Or perhaps a photographer? HMMMmmmm.

If you want a better view of him, you can see the album on my facebook entitled "The Wilsons". :D

Yep! I'm currently on page 109 and counting. Shooting this often definitely helps me learn about my camera more, but it's also helping me learn about myself a little more. Thank you for challenging me!
