In Front of the Glass

Okay, so today I just felt like studying photography and wasn't exactly up for executing it, so these are my quick shots. Perhaps one of them will strike your fancy.

Instead of taking some new pictures, I re-edited a few from yesterday and also have another photo of the corn silo taken from a slightly different location and orientation. Sandra, I hope it's a little more pleasing! :-)
Have a good evening.

Photowalk

weeds through a backless mailbox

As you can guess, I went for a photowalk today. A two and a half hour one, actually. It felt great to be outside during this freakishly warm weather. I got tons of photos, so get ready for an eyeful.

Yesterday was a decent but tiring day. As you could probably tell from my photo (and my lovely words), I was exhausted, mostly from all the time spent in a car. In fact, I spent almost every hour of the day either in a car or a classroom.

On the plus side, I had a photography project due yesterday. I got an A for the assignment and photos themselves and a B- on the print quality. He raised my grade a bit though when he found out that there was a problem with the developer the day I printed those. Another girl's prints were fogged exactly like mine once the lab assistant changed that developer, and she has lots of experience in the darkroom. Whew. Also, we're finally discussing photography in my Art History class. Woot!

Today, on the other hand, was just an all around good day. I spent the entire day focused on photography, whether I was taking the photographs or just admiring someone else's. What can I say? I'm an addict.

I'm told this is a corn silo. Whatever it is, it and the white tree catches my eye every day.

Odd concrete base that somehow hadn't caught my eye before today.

When In Doubt

Go for a selfie.

For once, I'm NOT wearing the wig. Anyway, I'm way too tired to tell you about photography class today, so I'll share tomorrow. Goodnight!

The Limit

Color version of a RAW photo originally taken in black and white.

Today I felt like looking to the sky. Naturally, I'm a few days late if I'm going by the DailyShoot challenges. lol

Spent the day editing more silly photos of my baby brother that I took over the weekend and a few other pics. I was also looking through some of my current magazines for inspiration or tips, and in the process, I came across this Jonathan Penney guy's work. It's exactly what I've been trying to accomplish the past few *cough weeks cough* days. He amazes me! Sandra suggested I enter his iPod contest, so soon enough I will get started on that.

Until then, I must be off to bed. Photography class in the early morning! :D

Mama's In the Kitchen

SLR shot taken this morning at school.

Can you see her? Or Do you see a Christmas tree? Or a drummer in a marching band?

Or do you just see a boring, upside-down photo?

I see me going to bed early after a long day of printing (50+ prints today! GAH) and taking photographs. Goodnight!

As the Days Grow Longer

I find myself witnessing more and more oddities. Today's: man on the Rally's roof.

I have to say kudos to this guy for not crying up there. Heights = terrifying. He just climbed right up there like it was nothing and climbed right back down before I could even look up from my photo preview. Can't help but wonder what's up there...

Let's get back down to earth, shall we?

Just a view that struck me for no apparent reason. It's been a strange day.

Comfort

My personal theme for the day: The comfort of home

It was a great weekend. Hope yours was as good.
