Makeup

Hey guys! I didn't forget you yesterday. It was my birthday, so I had kind of a busy day, and then by the time I got to take my picture, I was way too tired to edit it. Heck, I was too tired to really try taking a decent photo as it were. I experimented with a few things, but nothing was working out. It would be awesome from where I stood, but missing something in the frame. This is the best I could do.

On the plus side, I finally realized how to make my photos save with the colors they are in Photoshop. I've been so frustrated since I first started shooting in RAW because my photos are missing a lot of the vibrancy they have in my Photoshop.

In other news, I have a new acoustic electric guitar!!! It's a beauty, and its body is slimmer than the average acoustic, which is great for me because I have such short arms and such a large bust. Playing is much more comfortable now! :D Maybe I'll photograph that tonight. ;)

Born to Blush Unseen

Today's challenge was to go abstract, so out of pure laziness, I decided not to leave my seat. I turned around and, with my 200mm lens, zoom panned on a fake cactus in my dining room. For some reason, this is what happened instead of the typical zoom effect. Guess my shutter speed was too low. Either way, I rather like it. -shrug-

Vitamin C (something I desperately need)

I am getting sicker by the day instead of better, and school starts tomorrow. Lame, but at least I'm still in a decent mood! That, and class doesn't even start until 7:30 at night. WOO!

Anyway, today's challenge was, ironically, texture. And since I'm still in the mood for that but really not feeling up to getting up, I thought I'd photograph one of the oranges I've been munching on today using my new close-up and macro filters.
