A Beautiful Morning

Actually, it was an ugly gray day, which was perfect for my camera. I'm extremely pleased with my photos today. In fact, I'm just pleased today, period. It's been a nice day.

I woke up to my grandfather telling me he was leaving with or without me, so I threw on some clothes, grabbed my necessities (money, camera, laptop, let's go!), and headed out. We went to breakfast [aka lunch] at a Mexican restaurant that I love, then Grandpa decided to explore a bit. We went to the beautiful park pictured above, where I got to chase around two gorgeous ducks.

Then he found a covered bridge that was technically fenced off, but since there was a trail around the fence, we went anyway like the rebels we are. Grandma, on the other hand, waited in the car. "Mama didn't raise no fool!"

Today's challenge: Illustrate symmetry.

There should be more days like today. :D

-Yawn-

Well... not much to say. Hopefully tomorrow I will be less cranky and more in the mood to go out and get some good photos! Until then, you can look at a few more of the photos I've been editing lately. Also, any other ideas for a tutorial?

The Latest Addition

Meet Suzie, the latest addition to our bathroom's "Some Like it Haute" theme. I found her at Hobby Lobby and my grandma and I couldn't leave her.

Anyhow, I spent the day editing what is now over 100 photos, so I'm worn. See you tomorrow! And don't forget to suggest a tutorial. If there's anything you want, I'll give it a go! For Sandra, there will be a Template tutorial within the next few days. :D

Precious

Today's photo is a picture of a regularly edited photo I took over Spring Break, re-edited in my style. Most of the texture is in the original photo because my computer screen is extremely dirty... hahaha

Ah well. Hope you like it! :)

Also, I'm afraid I'm losing you guys, so I feel the need to make a tutorial. What are you all interested in learning to do?

Step On It!

Okay, I'm in a strange mood today and no longer feel like making yet another stupid photo, so I stylized it. Eventually I'll edit the original photo correctly, but until then, this is what you can ponder over if you'd like. And here are a couple of "traditional" photos, if you're not a fan of today's freak of nature.

All Dressed Up and Nowhere To Go

Couldn't decide which orientation was better, so you get both.

Yeeeeah, I have to be honest: yesterday, I did not take a photo. No, I wasn't uninspired or anything. I was just having a terribly manic day-- seriously, I went from maniacally happy to so angry that I couldn't see straight anymore for no reason whatsoever!-- so I thought I should just force myself to sleep. In place of yesterday's photo, I thought I'd share the only picture I managed to edit.

The beautiful Ms. C, whose senior shoot will be an entire portfolio in itself. :D

I don't know what's wrong with me, but after yesterday and today's equally extreme health issues, I'm really worried. It's probably a medication problem, in which case it'll be over soon (luckily, I have a dr.'s appointment this week), but if it's not, I don't want it to jeopardize what I've been trying to build these past few weeks (/months?). Please bear with me. I'm trying my best!

On the plus side, today was a wonderful day otherwise. There was a huge cross in the sky made of strange dark clouds, and I reheheally wish I'd had my camera on me to capture it. It was so amazing to see. Hopefully, someone else experienced the great anomaly, too. Otherwise I may be sicker than I thought... LOL

Goodnight!

Connection

Today, I made a very strange mental connection between the texture photo I snapped and a panned photo I took for my old digital photography class. The two were nothing alike, but once I tweaked their colors, the connection became a little clearer. Still, it's rather strange. Don't you think?

The Texture
Ye Olde Pan
Oddly enough, I just checked dailyshoot.com to find that today's challenge was to take a photo that emphasizes the horizon. Ha!

Spent the day editing photos rather than taking them yet again. I'd share, but I'm wiped. You'll see the best of them when I finish up this particular shoot! Goodnight. :)

Boxed In

A texture for you folks! Have fun. ;)

Finding the Time

It's been a crazy week! An amazing week. It couldn't have gone better. :D I have to thank Renee for bringing me and putting up with my constant in-and-out behavior. She was a doll.

I had at least one photoshoot pretty much every day while I was in Indiana. Between those and all the running around I was doing, there wasn't time to check my e-mails every day, let alone edit and post photos, so now that I'm home, I've spent the day working on a few. Here are my favorites for each day of the week, and then yesterday's quick "thank goodness I'm home" snapshot. I'll post today's shot later tonight. :)

Sunday:
Mr. J hamming it up

Monday:
Ms. M and Mr. P's little bundle of joy

Tuesday:
Little Mr. J sleeping in a basket

Wednesday:
Ms. R enjoying my flower

Thursday:
The ever-gorgeous Khalila making me jealous with her beauty.

Mmmm, Chinese food awaited us when we got home!!! Thank you, Grandma.

RIDICULOUS!!!

ET the bearded dragon

Today was a ridiculously awesome day!!! I got to spend an hour in a pet store full of adorable little animals, visit my aunt and uncle, go out for a wonderful time with family and friends, and best of all VISIT CITY METHODIST AGAIN! I will be taking my senior portrait kiddos there for their photoshoot, so it was awesome to get to go ahead of time with beautiful people who were happy (or something) to model for me. For now I will only post one of my favorites of the moment, but you can almost certainly expect to see more later, especially if you check out my facebook. Goodnight! Rather, good morning...
